To help improve student outcomes in Mathematics, the Mathematics Faculty is introducing a new homework policy across Years 7-10. Statistics have proven that if concepts are not revised the day they are taught, the retention rate is 20% compared to 80% if they are revised.
Because of this information, we are introducing the use of a revision book. Students will be required to have a separate book which will be used to revise each day's work, consisting of at least three examples of each concept taught that day. The work will need to be dated, signed by a parent/caregiver and returned to the classroom teacher each Friday. This program will begin in Week 5 of Term 2.
