How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- Development and integration of a holistic wellbeing curriculum that addresses physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects of health for students.
- Cultivation of a supportive and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued, respected, and safe.
- Expanding and enhancing access to wellbeing support services, including counselling, health education, and crisis intervention, for students, families, and staff.
- Teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- Access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- Programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- Clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- Developing health care plans for students
- Open communication about wellbeing and support.
