The Ingleburn High School Support Unit was founded in 2013. It comprises of 6 classes, comprised of 3 classes for students on the Autism Spectrum (ASD), 1 class for students with Moderate Learning (IO) needs, 1 for students with both AU and IO and Multi-categorical (MC) class that cvaters for a range of complex needs.

To support these students, we have 6 School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) and a range of Special Education Teacher and Mainstream Faculty Staff members to support and extend students relative to their ability level.


 Goals

  • To promote engagement and success for all students through a strength-based approach.
  • To prepare and promote student post-school success through intensive transitions and work experience programs.
  • To facilitate an enriched and inclusive secondary education experience with meaningful and challenging learning experiences.

 Features & Activities

  • The Support Unit boasts an amazing Community Access program linked to our subject teaching and learning program that integrates public transport, money handling and citizenship skills.
  • A range of sporting opportunities including state-wide bocce and ten pin bowling tournaments and regional athletics days and an ongoing partnership with Heroes with Ability.
