Ingleburn High School is a co-educational comprehensive high school in South Western Sydney which services the needs and aspirations of a diverse and growing multi-cultural urban population. The school enrollment is currently at 746, including 71 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 45% of the school population being from a Non-English speaking background. The school has a support unit of 6 classes (one for students with moderate intellectual disabilities, one multi-categorical and four for students with autism).
The school is committed to continually improving effective classroom practices with staff professional learning being the key to ensuring this. This learning will ensure that both literacy and numeracy levels can be enhanced through improved data analysis and use to support student learning.
Ingleburn High School aims to provide broad-based educational experiences that are both relevant and challenging in collaborative classrooms. Students are always encouraged to take responsibility for their own academic and social and emotional learning, extending their own abilities and interests so that they can reach their potential and make valuable contributions toward Australian society.
